Jimmy Kimmel recently took aim at Donald Trump‘s appearance at the G7 Summit. While addressing the President’s recent visit to France for the meeting, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, he highlighted a group photo of the world leaders. Drawing attention to the dynamics suggested in the picture, he joked about Trump’s standing with them.

The veteran comedian addressed Trump’s recent visit to France for the G7 Summit on a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! During the monologue, he showed a group photo of the world leaders. Kimmel claimed that the picture was proof of how the others really viewed Trump.
“This is the group photo they took, and they do this every year. Now there he is right in the middle,” Kimmel explained. “They break it up, and everybody goes their separate ways, and who is finally left by himself?” he asked the audience.
Subsequent snaps show world leaders smiling and interacting among themselves while Trump stands by himself in the middle. Kimmel called it “the saddest photo [he has] ever seen.” Briefly bringing up his mock rivalry with Matt Damon, he compared the picture to the actor’s situation on sets “every time the director yells cut.”
Kimmel called Trump “Lay Miser Blob” during the episode. He added that Trump showed up nearly an hour late, making the other world leaders wait for him.
The comedian continued, “They said he was on an important call back home even though it was 3:30 a.m. in Washington.” Noting that he didn’t know whom Trump contacted, he added that the world leaders asked Trump to sit down, following which Trump addressed those seated with a “charming comment.” Kimmel subsequently played a clip, which shows Trump proclaiming, “I’m the boss.”
He later mentioned how Trump complained about the room temperature and the height of his seat. Notably, following a failed attempt to adjust it, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reportedly offered him his own chair.
Kimmel labeled Trump’s behavior at the G7 summits “increasingly childish.” He continued, “These other foreign leaders, I feel sorry for them. I really do. Dealing with him, it’s like opening a can of soda that got shaken up: you know it’s gonna spray. All you can really do is try to aim it away from your face.”
