For All Mankind Season 5 Trailer Previews the Fight For Mars in Sci-Fi TV Show

Apple TV released the official trailer for For All Mankind Season 5, a sci-fi show depicting an alternate history of the space race that continued after the 1960s.

“Season 5 of For All Mankind picks up in the 2010s, years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist,” the official synopsis reads. “Happy Valley has grown into a thriving colony with thousands of residents and a base for new missions that will take us even further into the solar system. But with the nations of Earth now demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction continues to build between the people who live on Mars and their former home.”

What happens in the For All Mankind Season 5 trailer?

“Mars is ours,” Sean Kaufman’s Alex Poletov screams in the trailer. The tension between the people on Earth and Mars is at an all-time high. Earth’s top officials want to bring Mars back under their control, while Mars’ residents want their colony to become self-sufficient.

“We need to take matters into our own hands,” Joel Kinnaman‘s Edward Baldwin proclaims in the trailer.

Besides Kinnaman and Kaufman, For All Mankind Season 5 stars Toby Kebbell as Miles Dale, Edi Gathegi as Dev Ayesa, Cynthy Wu as Kelly Baldwin, Coral Peña as Aleida Rosales, and Wrenn Schmidt as Margo Madison, Mireille Enos as Celia Boyd, Costa Ronin as Costa Ronin, Ruby Cruz as Lily Dale, and Ines Asserson as A.J. Jarrett.

For All Mankind hails from creators and executive producers Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi. Wolpert and Nedivi are showrunners. Additional executive producers include Maril Davis, Kira Snyder, David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, and Seth Edelstein.

For All Mankind will consist of 10 episodes on Apple TV, with the first premiering on March 27. One episode will be released every Friday through May 29.
